Ordering additional hosting, a domain, an SSL certificate or any other Fast Hive service runs through the same shopping cart. This guide walks through the process, explains the choices that affect what you pay every year afterwards, and covers what to check before you click Place Order.

Where to start Ordering while signed in attaches everything to your existing account, which keeps billing in one place.

Placing an order

  1. Sign in at my.fasthive.com first. Ordering while signed out can create a second account.
  2. Open the Store menu and choose what you need.
  3. Pick the plan or product and click through to configure it.
  4. Choose your billing cycle - see below, this is the decision that matters most.
  5. Add or link a domain if the product needs one.
  6. Set any configurable options the product offers.
  7. Click Continue, then review the cart.
  8. Tick I have read and agree to the Terms of Service, then Place Order.

Choosing a billing cycle

Longer cycles cost less per month and give you fewer renewal dates to miss. Shared hosting saves up to 17% on yearly billing, and yearly plans include a free domain.

Cycle Suits
Monthly Trying something out, or a short-lived project. Highest effective price, most renewal dates.
Yearly Anything you intend to keep. Best balance of price and commitment.
Longer terms Established sites where you are certain. Fewest things to forget.
Your price does not jump at renewal. Fast Hive does not use first-year-only pricing on hosting - the rate you see in year one is the rate in year two. There are no setup fees and no forced upsells at renewal. Domains are the exception: registry renewal pricing differs from registration pricing, and all three figures are shown side by side when you search.

Before you click Place Order

  1. Read the Total Due Today and the recurring amount separately. They are different numbers, and the recurring one is what you live with.
  2. Check the billing cycle is the one you meant to choose.
  3. Check the domain attached to the order is spelled correctly - a typo here becomes a registered domain.
  4. Check for duplicates if you have been browsing a while; it is easy to add the same item twice.
  5. Apply any promotion code before checkout, and confirm the discount is reflected in the total.
  6. Confirm your billing details are current, including any tax or VAT number you need on the invoice.

Paying

Choose a payment method at checkout, or use an existing one from Payment Methods. If you hold account credit, it is applied automatically to the invoice.

Once payment clears:

  • Hosting is normally provisioned automatically - shared hosting is typically set up in about four minutes, and a VPS deploys in around 55 seconds.
  • You receive an order confirmation, an invoice, and a welcome email with your login details.
  • The new service appears under My Products & Services.
Keep the welcome email. It contains your cPanel username, the server hostname and the initial password - the details you will want months later when something needs configuring. Save it somewhere you can find it, or record the details in your password manager and then delete the email.

After ordering

  1. Check My Products & Services shows the service as Active.
  2. Log in to cPanel through the client area and confirm access.
  3. Point your domain, or add it in cPanel if it already points here.
  4. Confirm auto-renew is set as you want it.
  5. Check the invoice was marked paid.

Troubleshooting

Symptom Cause and fix
Order placed but the service is Pending Payment has not cleared, or the order is held for a fraud check. Check the invoice status first; if it is paid and it stays pending, open a ticket.
Card declined at checkout Check expiry, that the billing address matches your bank's records, and that international payments are allowed. Banks frequently decline a first payment to a new merchant.
Promotion code rejected Codes are case sensitive and often restricted to specific products or billing cycles. Check the terms of the promotion, or ask Sales & Solutions.
Accidentally created a second account You ordered while signed out. Open a ticket with Accounts & Billing and we can look at consolidating them.
Ordered the wrong plan or cycle Contact Accounts & Billing promptly. Changing early is far simpler than after provisioning and a first renewal.
Registered a domain with a typo Domain registrations generally cannot be reversed or renamed, because the fee goes to the registry immediately. Contact us straight away - the sooner the better, though options are limited.
No welcome email arrived Check spam, then check Email History in your account - it lists every message we sent, so you can confirm whether it went out.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order without an account?

You can create one during checkout, but if you are already a customer, sign in first so everything stays on one account.

Can I change my billing cycle later?

Yes - open a ticket with Accounts & Billing naming the service and the cycle you want.

How quickly is my service ready?

Usually within minutes of payment clearing. Shared hosting averages about four minutes; a VPS deploys in around 55 seconds. Domains register quickly but DNS then takes hours to propagate.

Is there a money-back guarantee?

Shared hosting carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Domain registrations are generally not refundable.

Can I order several services at once?

Yes. Add them all to the cart and check out together, which also aligns their billing dates.

Do prices include tax?

Tax is applied at checkout based on your billing address. Add a VAT or tax number to your account details before ordering if you need one on the invoice.

Not sure which plan you need? Ask before you buy rather than after. Open a ticket with Sales & Solutions at My Support Tickets describing what you are building and roughly how much traffic you expect, and we will recommend the right size - including telling you if a cheaper plan is enough.
